Michael Jaecks, bio

Michael was born in 1969 in Janesville, Wisconsin. At the tender age of 13, Michael
participated in and won his first Gen Con Miniatures Open. He went on to win first and second
place in yet another Gen Con Miniatures Open the next year. Having his work published in
Dragon Magazine not once but twice in two years thrilled Michael beyond measure and he has
spent his life chasing after the dream of surpassing these early achievements.

In the early nineties, Michael's academic passions turned to more transgressive forms of
expression. Conceptual art and promiscuous political dialogue dominated his life.
Michael found himself awash in the overwhelming sea of intranquility that formed the
discontent we now know as the Bush Sr. Years. He got a little lost in the fray for a while.

Like, dude, where's my car?

It wasn't until the dawn of the 21st century that Michael found his way back home.
Rediscovering the roots for which he never asked but simply grew,
Michael now makes his way in the world designing and illustrating the impossible visions
he's imagined for over thirty years. Of the 21st century he has but one question, so far:

Like, dude, where's my jetpack?

Michael Jaecks is always ready for more work.  He's accepting illustration projects of all types,
but Michael has the biggest affection for the weirder ones.
